ETHNOSOCIAL RELATIONS IN SCHOOLS:
SPECIFICS AND IMPACT TOOLS (ON MATERIALS OF EKATERINBURG)

The purpose of the workis identification and justification of the specifics of the ethnosocial sphere in educational organization. It is necessary to define key areas and activities to build a harmonious interethnic relations between pupils. And it is necessary to form tolerant attitudes in the younger generation.

The conclusions of the work are based on a comparison of the researches conducted by authors. First of them was conducted in 2011 in Ekaterindurg, Nizhny Tagil, Alapaevsk by method of questionnaire survey of ethnic communities (708 respondents) and also by expert interview (10 experts). The other research was conducted in 2016 in schools in Ekaterinburg by method of questionnaire survey using a sample of the scales of values of the S.Schwartz’s questionnaire (1248 pupils in grades 9–11). The conclusions of the work also are based on secondary analysis of researches conducted by other authors and analysis of programs and plans of forming harmonious interethnic relations in different levels of managing educational organizations.

Adolescents deserve a special attention in ethnosocialrelations. In this age there is an increased potential of conflict, including, ethnosocial sphere. Meanwhile the installation tolerance of adolescents is higher than among the youth in general. The attitude of pupils towards migrants is more indifferent than of adults. In the polyethnic (multicultural) schools level of ethnic tolerance as the level of conflict in ethnic sphere is higher. Interethnic tensions and conflict in the environment of the pupils is reduced if the schools hold events for develop ethno-cultural competence of pupils and teachers and also additional creating psychological and pedagogical conditions in educational institutions.

The conclusions and recommendations of this work can be used to implement national, ethno-cultural policy at the school level and also at the region level.
